Course Overview
We are all creative to greater or lesser extents, after all we choose various combinations of food to create our meals, we combine the clothing options we have to dress for work and social occasions. In fact, we are constantly being creative day by day. However this skill is rarely develop in the workplace as it is normally seen to be the realm of true creative such as artists, musicians and creative geniuses. And yet developing creativity is the workforce has untold commercial benefits.
Recognizing and developing personal the creative potential in teams and individuals is a process that will be strengthened by understanding and applying design thinking approach which will support you and your team with the tools necessary for creative problem solving.
Goal of Course:
This 5 – days course will provide interactive, practical learning to help you recognizing and developing the skills and mindsets of design thinking and apply design thinking processes that people and organizations find helpful. Course will equip you with tools, various models and techniques to inspire ideas and activities that fit with many different processes to build your team’s confidence to tackle complex challenges.
Design thinking Course is for anyone willing to change their mindset about challenges and problem solving also about creating something new for product or service development.
The course will contain experiential learning, practical exercises, videos, pair, group and individual exercises.

Module Outlines
Module 1 – Design Thinking Basics
Day 1 – Participants will get to know the most important components of Design Thinking, formulate their expectations and goals for the workshop and deal practically with methods and procedures of User Research, the basis of Design Thinking.

Module 2 – From research and interpretation to experimentation
Day 2 – Along with a concrete task, participants will learn to identify the needs and problems of real users, to analyse and interpret them and then generate a multitude of ideas for possible solution scenarios. Participants will learn to apply different creative techniques and to build up a high, creative intensity in the team and to make use of it.

Module 3 – Bringing an idea to life – prototyping and testing
Day 3 – Getting to know numerous facets and methods of prototyping. Participants experiment with different ways to convey and illustrate their ideas and experience user feedback as an important factor for product or service development.

Module 4 – Present solutions and prepare implementation
Day 4 – The solutions developed in the team will be in the form of Elevator Pitches. From there it goes smoothly into the implementation. During the day participants will learn planning the adequate use of resources and budget, planning and communicating implementation in the company, coordinating procedures, corporate culture and communication, reflection on design thinking and open questions about the methods.

Module 5 – Successfully integrating Design Thinking into your own practice
Day 5 – Analyze best practices of successful implementation of design thinking in various companies and institutions. The participants develop individual strategies for the profitable use of design thinking in their own everyday work and document their learning in words and pictures.

General Methodology
Similar to any L2S training program, this program offers an interactive learning experience in which will allow the delegates to reflect on their learning through an informative, indulging, and fun classroom experience. The design of the training session focuses on the following attributes.

Abstract Conceptualization: Developing deeper understanding to the learned concepts
Active Experimentation: Providing the delegates with realistic tools that can be tested in the real life
Specific Methodology
To effectively execute this program and to ensure that the end result is being achieved L2S specific training methodology in Design thinking in the workplace is as explained in the below stages:
Stage 1: Designing the Training Event
During this stage L2S will be assessing the learning needs from the determined objectives. Simultaneously consider practicality. In addition, L2S will consider the group’s learning style in order to identify which style of learning is most suitable. During this stage L2S as well will meet with the stake-holders or Training Department
(i) Identify the client’s needs in design thinking and to customize the program accordingly.
Stage 2: During the training
The course design is based on interactive facilitation, hands- on activities ,training games, training videos, role-plays, group discussions, group brainstorming sessions.
Assessment or Pre-Assessment, Formative Assessment through validating learning and Summative Assessment by the end of the training program.
The pre-assignment has been designed to reflect on their own creative and innovative abilities.
Stage 3: Post the Training
Post the training program delegates will be given an action plan along with a worksheet that includes the key learning points.
